Dinner Buddy is made by 3351 Labs, LLC. This page covers the Dinner Buddy app for iPhone and iPad and this website, getdinnerbuddy.com.
The short version: Dinner Buddy doesn't collect anything about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads and no tracking, and the app doesn't send your plans anywhere.
What the app saves, and where
Your dinners, dishes, photos you add, grocery list, kitchen setup and settings are saved on your own device, in the app's storage. They never leave your device, and we can't see them. They're included in your device's normal iCloud or computer backup, the same as other app data.
Dish photos you add are shrunk and stored with the dish. Dinner Buddy only sees the photos you pick.
Widgets, alerts and the Live Activity
The widgets and the Lock Screen countdown read your plan from the app on the same device. Cook Day alerts are scheduled by your device itself. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else, and you can turn alerts off in the app or in your device's Settings.
Purchases
The unlock is sold through Apple's App Store, which handles payment under its own privacy policy. We never see your name, email or payment details. The app only asks the App Store, on your device, whether your Apple Account owns the unlock.
What we don't do
- We don't use analytics, crash reporting services or advertising.
- We don't track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't sell or share data, because we don't have any.
Children
Because we don't collect personal information from anyone, we don't collect any from children either.
This website
The website uses no cookies or analytics. It's hosted by Cloudflare, which handles web requests and may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security. Fonts load from Google Fonts. Their own privacy policies apply.
Deleting your data
Everything lives on your device, so deleting a dinner in the app removes it, and deleting the app removes everything. There's nothing stored with us to delete.
